The Open Doors

Initiative

Aiming to provide support in the transition to post-secondary institutions for students with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning diversities.

500,000 Canadians are facing learning challenges everyday.

Our vision is to destigmatize notions around students with Dyslexia, ADHD and other learning diversities.

We empower and provide support to young adults in post-secondary education with learning challenges who will be entering post-secondary institutions through the awareness of different resource channels and exposure to individual learning plans.

Our Initiatives

Hoops to Learn

Sports empower and inspire young individuals to strive for greatness. Many students with learning disabilities, like dyslexia and ADHD, are hands-on learners, which is inherited in sports.

Open Doors hosts an annual basketball tournament called 'Hoop to Learn'. The Hoop to Learn Tournament is for all high school and university students and  will be open for men and women who have graduated.
